• Story Behind the Print

  When I was pregnant with my first child, Ayla, I called her “Little Bunny.” She was non-stop kicking all day and all night. My obstetrician would ask how many kicks I’d felt that day, and I’d laugh, saying it must be thousands. It honestly felt like a little rabbit was practising gymnastics in there.

  On her first day of daycare, I felt compelled to draw her a rabbit for her room. Her walls were bare, and it felt nice to have something, even if it was just printed at home and blu-tacked to the wall.

  This illustration got its name, Bowie, from its sweet little bow, and funnily enough, my daughters’ best friend is also named Bowie.

  When my youngest daughter was a toddler, she adored this rabbit illustration so much that she would kiss it goodnight before bed each night. I loved that something I drew became a character in their minds, with its own personality and superpowers of protection. Bowie the Rabbit was the artwork that made me fall in love with illustrating for children.

• Materials

  Premium Giclée Fine Art Prints
  Our prints are produced using the Giclée printing method, a high-quality fine art process that delivers rich colour depth and long-lasting vibrancy. They are printed on 200 gsm heavyweight archival paper with a lightly textured matte finish that complements our artwork beautifully.

  Sustainably Sourced Frames
  Our frames are made from real, sustainably sourced timber, using a light natural wood (often pine or similar). Each frame has its own unique grain and tone, meaning subtle variations in colour and texture are part of its natural character. Over time, gentle changes due to ageing and light exposure can add character to your piece.

  • Framed images shown are for reference only. Please check the frame colour swatch for the most accurate representation.
  • Instead of fragile glass, we use durable Perspex, making frames safer and easier to handle.
  • Frames are reusable! Our prints are produced in standard A2, A3, A4 and A5 sizes, allowing you to swap artwork easily.
  • Poster Hangers offer a flexible display option and make changing prints quick and easy. Please note: hangers cover approximately 1.5 cm at the top and bottom, making them best suited to borderless prints.

  Colours and materials may vary slightly from what you see on your screen due to display differences.

  To ensure authenticity and copyright protection, a small Brightkind logo is subtly placed in the bottom right corner of each print.

  All Brightkind prints are made to order, reducing waste and ensuring a high-quality piece created just for you. We work with trusted print partners in multiple countries to ensure efficient and timely delivery worldwide.

  Orders typically leave our warehouse within one week, allowing time for printing and framing (if selected). Delivery times vary depending on the destination, but please allow 1–3 weeks for shipping.

  Packaging & Protection

  We take great care to ensure your artwork arrives safely:

  • A3 and A2 prints are carefully rolled and shipped in a tube.
  • Framed prints arrive display-ready, securely packaged with corner guards, additional cardboard protection, and a heavy-duty shipping box.
